WALKING IN VICTORY
Everyone wants to be victorious in their life. No one wants to fail in the things they do in this life. Our Father God also wants us to succeed in everything we do. The good news is that by applying The Word of God in our life we will walk victorious in every area that we let the Word dominate. I have noticed throughout my life some people will be successful in some areas of their life while being a total failure in another. Maybe in finances they do well while in their marriage they are a complete failure. This should not be. Let’s get in the Word, meditate in the Word, and become one with the Word. If we do this we will enter into the finished work of Calvary, and have available to us all that Jesus accomplished.
Let’s look at a couple verses from Romans chapter 8. In verse 35 it says “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or dangers or sword?”nivIf we aren’t separated from the love of Christ, if it is dominating our being, we will walk victorious in every area that we allow the Word to dominate. Continuing in verse 37 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”nivIt says we are more than conquerors. We can overcome ALL things whether sin, sickness, poverty, or bad relationships with family, friends or even our supervisor. Yes we will mess up occasionally but we can overcome anything bad that comes our way. Remember when we are born again the Holy Spirit comes to live in our recreated spirit. Yes the Spirit of Almighty God has come to live in us to teach and guide us into all the truths of the Word.
This isn’t something we do by ourselves. It is God living His life through us. Our part is to believe and act on the Word. The key is to believe the Word without any doubt. Look at the next two verses. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”nivPaul said here “I am convinced.” That’s the key. No doubt there. It is Gods power and our faith that allows us to overcome all these things listed here and therefore keep us in the love of Christ.
1 John 5:3-4 says “This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” We CAN overcome the world and the things in the world. The world (world system) is what is known as the fallen world. Paul says satan is the god of this world (KJ). This scripture says “this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” Our faith and walking in it DOES overcome the world system. And what about this satan being the god of this world? Well mankind (not our heavenly Father) has made satan the god of this world, but let’s end this teaching with a scripture that tells us something of satans present condition. Look at Hebrews chapter two verse fourteen. “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.” (NKJ) See also 1 John 3:18. Through the finished work of Calvary, Jesus has destroyed satan, this does not mean he has been done away with or doesn’t exist, as we use the word death, it means rendered ineffective or entirely idle. See Strongs Concordance. There is no reason for us not to walk in victory. Let’s believe God and walk in victory. We can do it, we must do it, we shall do it. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the truth of His Word, be with you.
