I am one to believe we should gain knowledge and wisdom in this life. We should prepare ourselves to work and make enough money to take care of our family without leaning on society to give us welfare, unless there are extenuating circumstances beyond our control. We should also prepare ourselves emotionally and spiritually to interact successfully with our family and with those around us.

John 1:1-5, 14. This is one of the most amazing scriptures in the whole Bible. Let’s read it. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. Verse 14, And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and glory.

In the book of John chapter three, there is a very interesting account of a Jewish leader who came to Jesus and told Him that he knew that He was from God. Jesus took this event to share with him and subsequently with us one of the most important teachings in the whole Word of God.

1 Corinthians 1:30 says “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God.” If there is anything we need in this day and age it is wisdom. Where could we find a better source for true wisdom than from Almighty God. Our scripture verse says Jesus has become wisdom for us. If Jesus is our source of wisdom and He is the Word manifest in the flesh (John 1:1-14), then we just need to see what the Bible says about wisdom and apply it to our lives.
