As a Christian what should we do when our world falls apart? When the things we hold dear fail us. We have or will have things go wrong, terribly wrong. We live in a fallen world and eventually things will happen. The good news is that our Heavenly Father has not left us on our own to deal with our situation the best way we can.

Every promise in the Word of God is for you and He will give it to you just as it is written. If we don’t receive a promise from the Lord, it is our fault not God’s. Because humans have a hard time accepting responsibility it is popular among Christians today when they don’t come up with the answer promised in the Word to say well God in His infinite wisdom has said no to our prayer. That simply is not true, if it is promised in the Word then if we learn how to receive it by faith it will be ours. Because God only operates in truth and with infinite wisdom and knowledge He won’t give us a promise that He can’t always answer just as it is written in the Word.

I’m not saying it is always easy to start walking in our Father’s abundant provision, I am saying it is simple. Because we have grown up in the world system’s way of doing things, it can be hard to change. It requires us to put our total trust in our Heavenly Father and the finished work of Calvary. That will come only as we spend MUCH time in the Word and build up our belief in God’s willingness to keep His promises to us.

God has stated numerous times in the Bible that He wants us to be men and women of courage. Hebrews 1:6 states “without faith it is impossible to please Him.” If we are going to live by faith it certainly is going to require courage, for faith will require us to step out of our comfort zone and into the miracle arena.

God was so angry with the children of Israel (because they wouldn’t put their trust in God’s Word) that they had to wander in the wilderness for 40 years before they were allowed to go into the promised land. When they finally went in, guess who was there? That’s right, Joshua and Caleb. The other 10 spy’s had long ago died. We will talk about Joshua in another story, but let’s look at Caleb’s inheritance in the Promised Land. In the book of Joshua chapter 14 is where we find the story of Caleb taking his promised land.
