LOVE SCRIPTURES

1 John 3:13-24 Hereby know we love, because He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath the world’s goods, and beholds his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him? … Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall persuade our heart before him; because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

HE KNOWS YOUR NAME

How important you are to Jesus if He has a secret name for you that only He and you know. Often very close friends and family members have pet names that mean a lot to each other. Sometimes they are known to just a few people, sometimes only to each other.

THE MODERN DAY CHURCH (PART 2)

In part one of this teaching we looked at some of the things that get blamed for the church being weak. I’m sure there are other excuses we use also. We humans are quick to blame someone or something for the short comings in our life. In this teaching I want to start looking at the reasons that the church could be and should be a power house of power and blessings for the Lord.

THE MODERN DAY CHURCH (PART 1)

This is a topic of great interest to me as I have been a Christian for over 50 years and love the church and have been involved in and worked in the church all that time. It saddens me to say the church is weak and ineffective but it is and to hide our head in the sand and refuse to believe so will not fix the problem. Let me say here, there is an answer from our Lord and it is a simple answer as most answers from God are, though not necessarily an easy thing to fix depending on our willingness to abide in the Word.

WORRY OR MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD

It seems in our world today, many, if not most people are always worrying and uptight about just about everything. WALKING IN VICTORY

Everyone wants to be victorious in their life. No one wants to fail in the things they do in this life. Our Father God also wants us to succeed in everything we do. The good news is that by applying The Word of God in our life we will walk victorious in every area that we let the Word dominate. I have noticed throughout my life some people will be successful in some areas of their life while being a total failure in another. Maybe in finances they do well while in their marriage they are a complete failure. This should not be. Let’s get in the Word, meditate in the Word, and become one with the Word. If we do this we will enter into the finished work of Calvary, and have available to us all that Jesus accomplished.

THEY TURNED THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN

There’s a fascinating scripture in Acts 17:6 that says in part “-These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.” Paul and Silas had come to Thessalonica to preach the Gospel. Some of the Jews believed as well as a large number of the Greeks. The unbelieving Jews dragged some of the converts to the city rulers and made this charge against them, hoping to get them in much trouble. They were blamed not only for turning the world upside down, but that in so doing they were acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar. The situation was serious enough that the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away, sending them to Berea for their own safety.

SEED TIME AND HARVEST

God's kingdom works in a specific way. It has rules and regulations and if you follow these you will get certain results. Most Christians just read a daily devotional and say a little prayer and wait to see how things turn out and whatever happens they think is God's will. You will never know the will of our Father if you don't spend serious time in the Word. His Word is His will. It behooves us to read and study the Word until we are mature in our understanding of Jesus the Word.
